BALANCE

On the border between photography and sculpture, using the classical tools of still life photography, here it comes an universe where fantasy and reality are the same.

The ongoing series Balance focuses on the needing to pursue a mental order, to find an inner balance, to finally make the right choice.

In Weight/Levity there are two ways to see life: heavy as marble or delicate as a feather; in Optimism/Pessimism, life and death mix summoning the idea of afterlife; in Remember/Forget there is a contrast between the party favors and the decaying natural elements (flowers, leaves, insects); in Stay/Go usual objects mixes with souvenirs of travels in a conflict between the impulse of finding new places and the one of staying at home.

Complete/Incomplete plays with marble eggs and puzzle pieces and Natural/Artificial is a mix of decaying fruits and pills.
